AC Shadows Unveils Bizarre Attack on Titan Crossover for Holiday Season

In a unexpected crossover event that breaks usual predictions, the game developer has unveiled an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including free additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Disclosed

According to the official statement, "A strange encounter draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where rumors of prohibited ceremonies and monstrous metamorphoses echo through the shadows." The narrative presents a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a secret group.

The mission centers on "peculiar trials and a terrifying enemy" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Metamorphoses

The trailer showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser finishes with a powerful moment showing a character, presumably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Items and Additional Features

Players who finish the quest will acquire an exclusive katana in addition to several artifacts hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
