An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by police.
A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.
The arrests follow a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.
A toddler aged three was one of the injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
Officers arrested a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault near the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Authorities were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.
The assault - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
